Clockwork Uprising
A downloadable game for Windows
READ BEFORE PLAYING
I did not have time to add a tutorial so please read this before playing as it might be confusing.
This is my attempt at an singleplayer extraction shooter and your goal is to go into randomly generated factories salvaging materials to craft a transmitter. You can also craft weapon and tool upgrades. Tool upgrades are necessary for progression as you need to use them to break barricades to reach better materials required for the transmittor craft.
You can go in a raid interacting with the doors. In the left bottom corner there is a minimap with timer (you have to extract before the timer runs out). You can see extraction points on the minimap and you extract by interacting with the doors.
Break salvage nodes using the salvage tool to obtain craft materials. Higher grade materials necessary for progression are in vault rooms blocked by barricades. Upgrade your salvage tool to destroy the barricades.
If you die in raid you lose the resources you obtained during the raid.
Controls
WASD, Space - Movement
R - Reload
LMB - Shoot hipfire (inaccurate aim) / Use Salvage Tool
RMB - ADS (accurate aim)
1,2,3,4 - Hotbar slots
F - Interact
Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to finish the game properly - most of the sounds are missing which makes fighting the enemies much more difficult. The level of polish is also nowhere near the level I am comfortable with.
The story
Large group of factories used automatons for labour but they rebelled and destroyed transmittor that controlled them. Your goal is to salvage materials and craft a new transmittor to take control of the automatons and reclaim the factories.

Hey, I also participated in that publisher's Game Jam. If like us you are not entirely satisfied on how confusing things went about that jam I invite you to submit your game to the Salvage the Jam so we can have a safe place where we can all showcase, play, and feedback our games!
Go check it out :)
deadly hug :D
unfortunately I can't really play it with a good FPS because of my laptop.
(sorry)
Though I feel as if a steampunk (clockwork) Doom-esque game could be pretty interesting :O
I (and others) would be pretty interested if you continue to work in this idea post jam
